DALLAS, TX---Two hundred fifteen residents, staff and family members of Highland Springs retirement community took on a different kind of project to assist less fortunate children in Honduras via its 3rd Kids Against Hunger project. With three assembly lines of volunteers in its Hillcrest Clubhouse, the volunteers measured, sorted and packaged highly nutritious, life-saving meals with ingredients provided by the worldwide hunger relief organization. In just four hours, the team created 12,150 meals ready for shipment to children nearly 1,400 miles away in Honduras.
