Dallas, Texas—Highland Springs, the Erickson Living retirement community, was named #7 for the Best Companies to Work for in Texas rankings in the medium employee category (100-499).
One hundred workplaces made the final list of the 2016 Best Companies to Work for in Texas. The official results were revealed at an awards dinner & celebration on March 29 in Austin.
The survey is designed to identify and honor the best places of employment in Texas that benefit the state's economy, workforce and business environment. The awards program is a project of Texas Monthly, Texas Association of Business (TAB), Texas Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Best Companies Group.
"As we prepare to celebrate our tenth anniversary in September, this recognition confirms what I see every day," described Matt Neville, Executive Director. "Serving the residents and their families is the number one priority for our employees, and we do it with a mission-centered culture that fosters inclusion and celebrates life."
Tina Ricciardi is the Human Resources Director. She has been with Highland Springs since day one.
"This award is not only a reflection of the uniqueness of our business, but also how our residents and employees connect," said Mrs. Ricciardi. "You notice them having lunch together, learning together and genuinely caring for each other."
"As the physical infrastructure has grown, we've developed a 'one-community, one-team' approach that is a guiding light," she said. "Expansion also brings opportunities for career advancement. There are so many wonderful possibilities in senior living. Each employee can create a step-by-step plan with personal mentoring from our Human Resources Department in partnership with his or her supervisor."
Highland Springs is a non-profit continuing care retirement community located on an 89-acre campus in North Dallas. Its eight hundred (800) residents are served by a total workforce of over four hundred (400) full- and part-time employees.
In 2013, the community opened what has become a 5-star rated (by CMS) extended care neighborhood. Construction is currently underway on a second independent neighborhood to meet the demand for the amenities and lifestyle uniquely offered by Highland Springs and enjoyed by its residents.
