Meet The Linden Ponds Leadership Team
Jim Centola joined Linden Ponds in 2011. He is both a physical therapist and licensed nursing home administrator. Prior to joining the Linden Ponds team, he worked for the Masonic Health System of Massachusetts for 10 years. There he served as vice president of health services and administrator of the 181-bed skilled nursing facility that is part of the Overlook continuing care retirement campus. At Overlook, he had also served as director of rehabilitation services prior to his promotion to vice president. In other settings, Jim served as a physical therapist for Physical Therapy Plus in Brockton and was also co-owner of Huntington Rehabilitation of Fall River. He has had significant experience leading cross-functional teams, driving business results, and demonstrating high regard for a resident-focused culture. Jim received his bachelor of science in physical therapy cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston and his master of business administration degree at Assumption College in Worcester.
Philip began working at Linden Ponds in March 2016. He comes to us from Harmony Healthcare International, a firm which specializes in talent management, education and training, compliance reimbursement, and post-acute care operations, where he held the position of senior vice president of strategic partnerships. Before joining Harmony Healthcare in June 2014, Philip served as vice president of elder care services for St. Mary’s Health System in Maine. He started his post-acute career in 1995 and has worked in facility, corporate, and hospital-based operations. Philip received his master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in health care management from Husson College in 1997 and completed his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Maine in 1992. Philip is a licensed/certified nursing home administrator and fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA). He currently serves on the Advancing Excellence Board as well as the ACHCA Board of Directors. He is an exam item writer/subject matter expert for both the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards and ACHCA and also serves on a number of national committees. Philip recently served as a silver award senior examiner for the American Health Care Association 2015 National Quality Awards program.
Olga has served as the finance director of Linden Ponds since the campus opening in 2004. She is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in financial analysis, modeling, research, and due diligence. Prior to joining Linden Ponds, Olga worked at Fleet Securities as an associate in the company's Emerging Capital Markets section. Olga is a C.P.A. who completed her undergraduate degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds an M.B.A. from the Columbia University School of Business. Prior to going to graduate school, Olga worked as a senior auditor at Ernst & Young.
Christine has been employed at Linden Ponds since 2004 and has held several positions at the community in both the Human Resources and Marketing departments. She currently serves as the director of sales and marketing. Christine is a graduate of Bentley College with a bachelor's degree in finance. Prior to working at Linden Ponds, she worked at Putnam Investments of Boston for over 16 years in varying capacities ranging from client services, dealer marketing, operations, and shareholder communications. She served the last eight of those years at Putnam Investments as an assistant vice president in marketing and communications. Christine is a certified tax planner.
Jonathan Schreck joined Linden Ponds in May 2016 as the director of continuing care. Jonathan brings over five years of nursing home administrator experience and had previously worked for Whittier Healthcare and Genesis Healthcare. Jonathan joined Erickson Living in September of 2015 as the assistant administrator of continuing care at Brooksby Village in Peabody. In April of 2016 he came to Linden Ponds to fill an interim role as director at Rose Court. Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Phoenix Greater Boston campus with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Jonathan is from North Hampton, NH and enjoys spending time with his nieces and nephew, golfing and surfing.
Kate Murphy joined the executive team as the human resources director in April of 2016 after serving in the role of senior human resources manager at Linden Ponds for over seven years. Kate has 20 years of experience in human resources mainly in the fields of health care and human services. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a master's degree in counseling psychology from Lesley University, as well as a senior professional in human resources certification. Kate currently serves as co-chair on the South Shore Chamber of Commerce Human Resource Advisory Group. In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time with family and friends and being near the ocean.
Dr. Tam received her bachelor's degree in biology and her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She completed her internship and a joint residency in internal medicine and primary care at the Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester in New Rochelle, New York. Dr. Tam is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine and has a fellowship in geriatrics. She joined Linden Ponds in October 2005.
Meredith joined Linden Ponds in 2004 in the role of social work manager. In 2005 she was promoted to her current position of director of resident life. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a degree in psychology and received her master of social work from Boston University. Meredith also holds a certificate in aging services from the Boston University Institute of Geriatric Social Work and is an Assisted Living Facilities Association (ALFA) certified assisted living administrator. She brings more than 25 years of experience in community mental health as well as geriatric social work to her position at Linden Ponds. Prior to joining the Linden Ponds team, Meredith was a manager with Benchmark Assisted Living. Her roles at Benchmark included case management, community outreach, and regional training. She is a past board member of the Plymouth Council on Aging and is currently a member of the parish council of her church in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Omar joined the Linden Ponds team as director of dining Services in 2008. He graduated magna cum laude from The Johnson and Wales University in 2001 with a bachelor of science degree in hotel, restaurant, and institutional management. Prior to Linden Ponds, Omar served as a general manager for Bugaboo Creek Steak House and manager of the Coach Grill Restaurant for the Back Bay Restaurant Group.
John Amonte has been part of the Linden Ponds team since 2004. He was appointed director of general services in January 2016. Prior to his current role John held three positions within the community: general services project facilities manager and senior facilities manager from 2008-2015 and construction administrator of the development team from 2004-2008 during the construction of the Linden Ponds campus. Before joining Linden Ponds, John worked for Peabody Construction for four years, focusing on public school projects. Peabody Construction acquired Beaver Builders in 2002 and John became part of the project management team constructing the first phase of the Brooksby Village continuing care center. John holds a Massachusetts unrestricted construction supervisors license and received his bachelor of science degree in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
