Linden Ponds Residents Marty Saunders and Lo Steele Recognized at National Conference for Celebrating Age

November 15, 2011

Marty Saunders, a resident of Linden Ponds, was recently selected as 1 of the 50 seniors nationwide for LeadingAge's Celebrate Age exhibit in Washington, DC.  Lo Steele who also lives at Linden Ponds was recognized in the Honorable Mention category.
LeadingAge, a national association representing not-for-profit organizations serving older adults, developed the exhibit in honor of their 50th Anniversary celebration at Leading Age's Annual Meeting.
More than 400 individuals were nominated to be part of this exhibit, which included stories and photos from each selected participant. A panel of older adults selected these individuals in early October based on their "zest for life and commitment to making a difference in their communities." The 50 seniors were honored at a reception during the annual meeting.
"These older adults selected for this exhibit are living examples of our mission: to expand the possibilities for aging," LeadingAge CEO Larry Minnix said. "We honor them for making a difference and transforming the vision of aging in this country." Linden Ponds is a full-service continuing care retirement community situated on a scenic 108-acre campus in Hingham, Massachusetts. The vibrant campus opened in October 2004, and is home to 1,200 seniors who are enjoying life to the fullest.  Erickson Living is the developer and manager of Linden Ponds.
