Kyleen Farrell Celebrates 10 Years Working at Linden Ponds and is Very Grateful

Hingham, MA – In 2008, Kyleen Farrell was in high school and worked in the Dining Department at Linden Ponds, an Erickson Living retirement community in Hingham, MA, as Wait Staff.  Now, 10 years later, she is a Human Resources and Recruitment Coordinator at Linden Ponds.

Over the past 10 years, Farrell has had the opportunity to work in a number of different departments at Linden Ponds including Dining, Resident Life, General Services and most recently, Human Resources. As a student on the Wait Staff she received the Linden Ponds Student Scholarship and then when she attended college, she was able to take advantage of the tuition reimbursement program through Erickson Living. 

“What a huge help tuition reimbursement through Erickson Living was to me while going through school,” said Farrell.    “I had already received the Linden Ponds Scholarship as a student and then once I began working full time at Linden Ponds I was able to take advantage of the tuition reimbursement program which gave me $4,500 a year towards my schooling.”

There are approximately 780 employees at Linden Ponds and in 2017, Linden Ponds provided over $36,500 in education assistance to employees who are pursuing a degree.

Farrell started as a student on the Wait Staff in 2008 and was then promoted to Service Coach.  She then was named Community Resources Coordinator in the Resident Life Department.   She was also a General Services Coordinator and an Assistant Dining Manager before joining the Human Resources Team. 

“I love welcoming people into the community and sharing with them all that employment has to offer here at Linden Ponds,” said Farrell.  “Linden Ponds is not just the place I work, it feels like home.   At Linden Ponds, I have made friends who now feel like family, residents have become my friends, and working here has given me way more than I could have ever expected. The relationships that are formed here are unique and priceless. My life simply wouldn’t be the same if the application I submitted 10 years ago didn’t get me my very first interview here at Linden Ponds.   Now, the rest is history.”
