GLEN MILLS, PA - In May, the Concordville Fire & Protective Association sent a letter to the surrounding community requesting help. The same department that always answers others in their greatest time of need was looking for support in order to purchase three life-saving medical devices at the cost of $45,000.

Maris Grove Residents Bring Awareness to Alzheimer’s Disease by Partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association

GLEN MILLS, Pa. – More than 150 Maris Grove retirement community residents, staff and guests participated in the community’s second annual ‘Walk to End Alzheimer’s.’ The event raised $1,500 to increase awareness and provide funds for the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Maris Grove’s Blanket Circle Celebrates its 10,000th Donated Blanket

GLEN MILLS, Pa. – After eight years of faithful giving, the Blanket Circle at Maris Grove retirement community, has donated its 10,000 th blanket. To commemorate this feat, the group hosted a celebratory luncheon Tuesday, Sept. 27, with many of their 145 members.

The members of the Blanket Circle create handmade fleece blankets and cotton quilts as gifts for special needs children. The members then pack and ship the blankets to numerous organizations, including, the Chester County and Delaware County Head Start Programs. Maris Grove Residents Donate $95,000 for Scholarships to Local Students

GLEN MILLS, Pa. — On Sunday, May 22, Maris Grove hosted family, residents, friends and staff at their annual Scholars’ Awards Ceremony. At this year’s event, 14 graduating high school seniors were recognized as 2016 recipients of a $6,000 scholarship from Maris Grove residents.

In 10 years, close to $1 million has been raised to support 150 students to advance their collegiate careers, according to Barbara Burri, philanthropy director for Maris Grove. The program is funded primarily through resident contributions. This year, residents and resident clubs contributed $95,000 to the Maris Grove Scholars’ Fund.

Residents Take Time to Commemorate the People Who Have Led Our Country

GLEN MILLS, PA— On Monday, February 15, 2016, over 100 residents participated in a unique President’s Day program hosted by the Veterans Club at Maris Grove. Several special guests were part of the community’s tribute to the presidents of the United States, including George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

The ceremony started with the Valley Forge Military Academy and College Color Guard presenting our nations flags accompanied by two cadets singing the national anthem. Following the opening, the Military Academy’s drum core performed.
