Erickson Senior Living’s Spirit of Giving Makes Meaningful Difference for Baltimore Area Nonprofits

December 26, 2020

Commitment to serving as strong community partners comes at critical time

BALTIMORE, MD — Dec. 26 — Erickson Living, consistent with its commitment to helping people live better lives, provided a donation of personal care products to Empower4Life on Dec. 24, and is scheduled for a similar donation to Paul's Place on Jan. 7, 2021. These gifts are part of an Erickson Cares Holidays Community Outreach Initiative to help Baltimore's communities succeed and enjoy a better quality of life.

"Especially at this time of year, we greatly value opportunities to serve as strong community partners, and in the process, offer hope, comfort and encouragement to those in need," said Debra Doyle, Chief Operating Officer at Erickson Living. "A heart of giving and service is the cornerstone of who we are as an organization, which is why we are so pleased to help those in our community shape their best and brightest futures."

Each nonprofit will receive 2,200 boxes, valued at $20,000 (total donation value of $40,000), which will include thousands of comfort and hygiene items, including shampoo, lip balms, tissue packs, hand wipes, skin cream, socks, water bottles, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, lotion soap, and deodorants.

"There is no doubt that Erickson Living is about making our communities a better place, and we are so thankful for their impactful gifts and support as we remain committed to helping homeless children grow strong and healthy," said Empower4Life Founder and President Jennifer Cox. "The generosity of this remarkable company could not come at a better time as those we serve are increasingly in need of basic care items."

"We are extremely grateful for the thoughtful donation that is planned by Erickson Living," said Paul's Place Executive Director William McLennan. "The numerous personal care products will play an important part supporting our mission of providing programs, services and support that strengthens individuals and families, fostering hope, personal dignity and growth."
