Sylvia Allgaier—A sense of community

Sylvia Allgaier loved her neighborhood but didn't want to spend any more time on home maintenance—that's why she chose Highland Springs. "It was close enough that I didn't even have to change grocery stores when I moved," says Sylvia. "I'm still a part of the same community."

Sylvia is active both on campus and in the Dallas area. She teaches English as a Second Language part time, belongs to several clubs on campus and sings in the choir. She enjoys being able to focus on what she wants to do without having to worry about taking care of a house. "I love the fact that I don't have to do any maintenance in my apartment," she says. "At Highland Springs, you don't even have to wait for the repairman. You can trust the staff here absolutely."

In addition to living maintenance-free, Sylvia appreciates the friendly atmosphere on campus. "Everybody is so welcoming at Highland Springs," she says. "You're free to be as involved as you want to be."
