Marilyn Black—Dancing through life

For Marilyn Black, retirement doesn't mean slowing down. Since moving from Katy, Texas, Marilyn has taken the lead at Eagle's Trace. In addition to teaching line dancing on campus, she is the chairman of the Resident Life Committee.

"I like to be busy, so it's very convenient to have everything here. I don't have to get in the car and drive somewhere to do an activity. You can always find plenty of things to do here," says Marilyn.

As chairman of the Resident Life Committee, Marilyn enjoys organizing unique events for her fellow Eagle's Trace residents. Recently, she used her dancing enthusiasm and expertise to organize two different flash mobs at local malls.

Marilyn loves her leadership role at Eagle's Trace and looks forward to meeting new neighbors. Her advice to anyone thinking of moving in? "Don't wait," says Marilyn. "This is independent living. Take advantage of it now while you can still have fun."
