Director, producer, performer

At Seabrook, Lindo Meli discovered a community of fellow theater-lovers. The life-long entertainer founded the Seabrook Performers Theatrical Group, which produces at least two shows a year in the 250-seat performing arts center.

"The thing that sold me was the auditorium," Lindo explains. "I saw the potential to do shows here that would appeal to people my age."

The theater group debuted in April 2009 with a production of Arsenic and Old Lace. Each show requires not only a cast, but also a crew of lighting technicians, musical directors, costume designers, set painters and more.

Lindo loves to see his fellow residents discover talents they never knew they had. "There is no better activity to get involved in than putting on a show," he says.
