3/30 Event: Hoop Skills on Display at Oak Crest’s March Madness

Parkville, Maryland —The Final Four is taking place in Houston this weekend, but the real basketball action gets an early start at Oak Crest, the Erickson Living retirement community in Baltimore County.

On Wednesday, March 30th at 11am, residents of Oak Crest will be joined by employees in a test of their free-throw shooting skills at the community’s Annual March Madness competition. CATONSVILLE, MD (February 9, 2016) -- Erickson Living , manager and developer of Charlestown retirement community, has been named the ‘Healthiest Employer” for a company with more than 2,000 employees by Baltimore Smart CEO.

As part of the wellness program at Erickson Living, employees are asked to know their health numbers. This includes cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and vision. In addition, employees complete a personalized health assessment and certify that they are tobacco-free.

Community Partnerships of Oak Crest Benefit Two Holiday Charities

Parkville, MD— Residents of Oak Crest retirement community partnered with local businesses as they continued traditions of “giving back” to benefit two holiday charities. On November 24, fifty residents transformed Oak Crest into “Santa’s Workshop” as they filled four hundred stockings with toys, games, school supplies and other items to benefit Baltimore-area children in need during the holidays. The loaded stockings will be distributed by the Salvation Army at their Hampden center in December.
