Residents, students from Calvert Hall, Institute of Notre Dame to square off in free-throw shooting contest on March 21st
PARKVILLE, MD---The Sweet Sixteen is moving to Atlanta, Boston, Phoenix and St. Louis later this week, but the real basketball action will take place at Oak Crest, the Erickson Living retirement community in Baltimore County.
On Wednesday, March 21st at 11am, residents of Oak Crest will be joined by area high school students in a test of their free-throw shooting skills at the community's Annual March Madness competition.
Participants will enter three divisions: resident (men & women), student and team mixed (resident/student) for prizes.
This year's student teams will be coming from the Institute of Notre Dame and Calvert Hall High School.
Additionally, donations will be accepted in support of Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief organization. On Saturday, April 21st, Oak Crest residents will be preparing the ingredients for 10,000 packaged meals to be distributed by Stop Hunger Now world-wide.
