May 7, 2013

PARKVILLE, MD---The Oak Crest Catholic Community continued a tradition of honoring the Blessed Mother at its 13th Annual May Day Service.
The May Day program occurred on Friday, May 3rd at the community's Chapel with the Rosary, Marian hymns and the Mass which followed.  Charlotte Ullmann, granddaughter of Oak Crest resident Lois Ullmann, was the May Queen and crowned the Blessed Mother during the May procession.
"As we continue to celebrate our Year of Faith, we honor the Blessed Mother this May Day with her title 'Mary, Fountain of Light and Life,'" stated Sister Danielle Murphy, MHSH.
Father Joe Bonadio served as celebrant for the Mass.  A social hour followed to greet Ms. Ullmann.
