Parkville, Maryland—Oak Crest was named as the Best Active Adult Community in the 2019 Baltimore's Best Readers' Choice Contest, presented by The Baltimore Sun.
According to the publication, "winners earned top votes in an online poll that drew more than 43,000 participants. With honorees in more than 200 categories, Baltimore's Best is both a resource for readers and a celebration of the area's finest features."
Oak Crest is a non-profit continuing care retirement community located on an 87-acre campus in northeast Baltimore County, developed and managed by Erickson Living. Its 2,100 residents are served by a total workforce of more than 1,250 full- and part-time employees.
"Being recognized as the best active adult community is a testament to the engaged lifestyle that our residents enjoy," said Mark Roussey, Executive Director. "We strive to create a community that embraces a culture of caring with a host of convenient amenities and services. On behalf of the team at Oak Crest, I would like to express our appreciation to the readers who took the time to vote in The Baltimore Sun poll."
"Additionally, our employees are truly every day heroes. Watching them use their individual talents and passions to create a successful one-team approach is incredibly special," described Mr. Roussey. "They work hard to make each experience with residents and each other meaningful, and without this dedicated team, the area-wide recognition would not be possible."
