Riderwood's Faith/Cultural Groups Hold Celebrations of the New Year

SILVER SPRING, MD (January 17, 2013) - Three hundred people today attended a Celebrations of the New Year in the Riderwood Chapel. Faith communities and cultural groups represented by Riderwood residents and staff participated. The program included an array of spiritual readings, musical selections and cultural performances. The Catholic, Protestant, Unitarian, Jewish, and Muslim faiths wererepresented. In addition, a "Gratitude" video was shown. Riderwood Marks 3.5 Percent Increase in Apartnment Settlements for Yearend 2012

SILVER SPRING, MD (January 15, 2013) -- Riderwood retirement community in Silver Spring marked a 3.5 percent increase in settlements of apartment homes for yearend 2012. A total of 176 apartment homes was settled in 2012, compared to 170 the prior year. Resident occupancy at year's end stood at 92.8 percent. People moved to Riderwood from nearly all geographic areas of Montgomery and Prince George's counties, with some moving from as far away as California and Washington state.
