Public Invited to Free December 27 Nook Workshop at Riderwood

SILVER SPRING, MD (December 6, 2012) - The public is invited to attend a free Nook workshop on Thursday, December 27, at Riderwood retirement community in Silver Spring, MD. The workshop will be held from noon - 1 p.m. in the Montgomery Station Chesapeake Room. A representative from the Bethesda, MD, Barnes & Noble will give "hands-on"  assistance with the Nook ((E-Reader) product line and all of its different features. SILVER SPRING, MD (December 3, 2012) -- Riderwood residents and general public today attended a One Maryland One Book partnership event with Beltsville Library to discuss "The Cellist of Sarajevo." Riderwood Resident Dr. Charles E. Rath is Awarded His Long-Overdue WWII Bronze Star Medal

SILVER SPRING, MD (November 16, 2012) - U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski worked to ensure Riderwood retirement community resident Dr. Charles E. Rath, a World War II veteran, has been awarded his long-awaited Bronze Star medal. Dr. Rath received his medal, along with an American flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol, at a Defense Information School Ceremony in Fort Meade, MD. SILVER SPRING, MD (November 12, 2012) - Riderwood retirement community today received an American flag that flew in Afghanistan during a Veterans Day ceremony that honored hundreds of military veterans. United States Marine Sgt.
