SILVER SPRING, MD (March 14, 2012) - Riderwood retirement community residents are putting their unique spin on the popular television show "Dancing With the Stars."  They are tapping, twirling and sashaying in several dance groups to keep their bodies healthy. Thirty-Five High School Students to Recieve Combined Total of $210,000 in Scholarshp Money Raised by Riderwood Residents

SILVER SPRING, MD (March 9) --- Thirty-five high school students from Montgomery and Prince George's Counties will receive scholarships to help them attend college at a Tuesday, March 20,  ceremony at Riderwood retirement community, where they have worked part-time. A total of $210,000 was raised by Riderwood residents during the past two months to show their appreciation of the students' work and to help assist them financially in their post-secondary  education. SILVER SPRING, MD (February 27, 2012) -- Riderwood retirement community residents are now making kitchen cabinets in their campus woodshop that will help Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity renovate a house in Silver Spring,  MD, and allow a family to move from sub-standard housing into  this house on Saturday, March 17. A dozen cabinets are being made by scores of Riderwood residents who are working six days a week on this project. SILVER SPRING, MD (February 23, 2012) - Riderwood is now accepting public registrations for its annual Mah Jongg Tournament, which will be held Thursday, August 9, from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30  p.m., in the Montgomery Station Performance Hall at the retirement community's campus, 3140 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD. Proceeds from the tournament  will benefit the campus' Benevolent Care Fund. More than $1,000 was contributed to the fund as a result of last year's tournament.
