Riderwood Retirement Community Marks a 31 Percent Increase in Apartment Settlements for 2011; Reservations Jump 28 Percent Introduction of Lower Entrance Deposit Option Proves Helpful to People SILVER SPRING, MD (January 6, 2012) -- Riderwood retirement community in Silver Spring marked a 31 percent increase in settlements of apartment homes for yearend 2011 and a 28 percent jump in reservations. Residents of Riderwood Donate $386,872 to Show Their Appeciation to Hourly Staff for Jobs Well Done in 2011

SILVER SPRING, MD (December 9, 2011) --  Residents of Riderwood retirement community in Silver Spring, MD , have donated $386,872 to their campus' Staff Appreciation Fund to show their appreciation to hourly staff for jobs well done in 2011.  The money will benefit 1,221 hourly staff members from Dining Services, General Services, and the Medical Center. This fundraising drive among residents is done annually during the holiday season.
