Riderwood Lions Club Today Kicks-Off Stamps for the Wounded Project to Provide Hospitalized Veterans with Needed Therapy Tools SILVER SPRING, MD (August 1, 2011) -- The Riderwood Lions Club today kicked-off Stamps for the Wounded, a project to collect postage stamps from the retirement campus' nearly 3,000 residents. The stamps will provide hospitalized veterans in more than 130 Veterans Administration facilities across the nation with the supplies needed to engage them in stamp collecting related therapy. The veterans being helped were injured in wars ranging from WWII through Afghanistan, as well as the many other troubled spots in the world...
