SILVER SPRING, MD---Some were passed from generation to generation, while others were recently made.  But there was a meaningful story behind each of them. Riderwood, the Erickson Living retirement community, hosted an African-American Quilt Show on February 11th in the Chesapeake Room.  The event was sponsored by the resident-led Riderwood Quilt Club and the African-American History Club. SILVER SPRING, MD---Whether it's lending a hand with a project or serving a meal in one of the campus restaurants, the hourly employees of Riderwood retirement community are "here whenever we need them," according to resident Pat Davis. It is their service and dedication that residents recognize through the Erickson Living community's Staff Appreciation Fund.  The 2013 campaign, held October 21st-November 8th, raised $384,819; this amount represented gifts from more than 1,800 individuals.
