Violinist Henry Plotkin Today Honors "The Cellist of Sarajevo" at Riderwood Book Discussion

SILVER SPRING, MD (December 3, 2012) -- Riderwood residents and general public today attended a One Maryland One Book partnership event with Beltsville Library to discuss "The Cellist of Sarajevo."

of Aldonini's "Adagio in G Minor," the music played by the celliist in the ruins of Sarajavo to honor the dead.
The Riderwood village Square classroom was transformed to resemble a bombed out schoolroom during the Bosnian War.
Beltsville Library Branch manager Barbara Spears led the two-hour discussion held under auspices of the Mayland Humanities Council.
