Joan Adams, a Faculty Member at Three Colleges and Universities, to Discuss "Populist Uprisings in 2012" at a Wednesday, January 11, Appearance at Riderwood WHAT: A Wednesday afternoon, January 11, Riderwood retirement community discussion of "Populist Uprisings in 2012" by Joan Adams. Adams is  a faculty member of Prince George's Community College at Riderwood, Johns Hopkins University in Rockville, and Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park.  At Riderwood she teaches four classes on current issues at the local, national, and international level and one on American literature. Adams has lived in the greater Washington, D.C.,  area since 1965. She has earned degrees in history and urban planning. This discussion by Adams is sponsored by the Democratic Club of Riderwood. The club's purpose is to serve the interest of the United States through the pursuit of policies that reflect the club's concern with the wellbeing of all people and the welfare and dignity of the population of the nation.
