More Than $112,000 Raised For Seabrook Scholars Fund Rewarding 39 Area Students

TINTON FALLS, NJ - With the school year finished, Seabrook held its own special "graduation" ceremony to honor 39 area high school students who work at the continuing care retirement community in the restaurants.  These students will now be the proud beneficiaries of the Seabrook Scholars Fund, which provides money for their upcoming college or secondary school education. During the ceremony, each student received a scholarship totaling $4,800; $600 for four years of full-time undergraduate study.  Funding for the scholarships is based upon voluntary donations made by residents.  The scholarship funding is paid directly to the students' respective secondary education...

Seabrook Resident And WWII Veteran Receives French Legion of Honor Recognition for His Service

TINTON FALLS, NJ - Seabrook resident and World War II veteran Allan Ostar is humble when he is asked to discuss his achievements during the war, but he made a difference. He was part of the 42nd Rainbow Division that fought several difficult battles throughout parts of eastern France, in which members of his unit were killed, injured or taken as prisoners. In 1945, the Rainbow Division accomplished what was perhaps its greatest achievement of the war - helping liberate the notorious Dachau concentration camp. Seabrook Employee Receives "Leadership Award" For Demonstrating Erickson Living Values

TINTON FALLS, NJ - Jennifer Courlas, director of continuing care of The Gardens at Seabrook, the community's continuing care neighborhood, was named a Leadership Award Winner at the Erickson Living corporate award recognition event in Baltimore, MD earlier this month. Erickson Living is the developer/management company of Seabrook. TINTON FALLS, NJ - To celebrate Black History Month Seabrook invited The African-American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey from Newtonville, NJ to the community to display part of its collection. Seventy-four historical-laden photos, statues and paintings adorned the Atrium room at Seabrook for countless numbers of residents and members of the public to see. Seabrook Residents Collect Toys for Tots to Make Holidays Bright for Children

TINTON FALLS, N.J. - Seabrook's residents and staff regularly donate their time, efforts and gifts to a whole host of charities and organizations throughout the year.  The community celebrated its latest effort, collecting toys to support the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation .  

This year's collection yielded approximately 600 toys, which the Marine Corps will distribute to needy children during this holiday season.  The Marine Toys for Tots drive at Seabrook was started by resident June Bayles 13 years ago.
