October 5, 2011 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TINTON FALLS, NJ - Beginning at 10 a.m., Monday, October 10th, members of the "Seabrook Baby Blankie Makers" will finish knitting more than two dozen blankets they will then sort, fold and send to needy children.  These children are receiving services from the groups Interfaith Neighbors and Hispanic Affairs in Monmouth County.
The Seabrook Baby Blankie Makers are a group of approximately 20 women who have made more than 800 blankets over the last four years for a variety of non-profits.
Mrs. Cheek, who has crafted about 550 blankets since she took up the hobby in 2000 said, "I'm a knitting nut.  My involvement with these projects brings together three of my loves- knitting, volunteering and helping children in need.  I am also extremely happy that some of my fellow residents decide to create blankets for these wonderful, worthwhile causes."
The Blankie Maker event will take place in the Seabrook Town Square Clubhouse on the second floor in the activity room.  Seabrook is located at 3000 Essex Rd., Tinton Falls, NJ 07753.
