OVERLAND PARK, KS (February 24, 2016) -- Tallgrass Creek retirement community’s Post-Acute neighborhood has been named a 5-Star facility by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). OVERLAND PARK, KS (January 25, 2016) -- Tallgrass Creek residents met a skink, a parrot, a frog, and a chinchilla this month when the Kansas City Zoo brought its ZooMobile to the retirement community.

Zoo educators, animal ambassadors, and touchable bio facts visited Tallgrass Creek in an effort to create a connection between residents and wildlife. With a focus on conservation, this visit helped residents to:

OVERLAND PARK, KS (December 18, 2015) -- Tallgrass Creek retirement community residents in Overland Park, Kansas, today delivered 100 gifts to families at Don Bosco center in Kansas City, Missouri The gifts included toiletries, pots, pans, coats, hats and gloves, shoes, books, and educational toys. A Tallgrass Creek shuttle bus brought staff and residents who gave the gifts to recipient families when they arrived at the center.

OVERLAND PARK, KS (December 24, 2015) -- Residents of Tallgrass Creek retirement community in Overland Park, KS, donated $76,061 to their campus’ Staff Appreciation Fund to show their appreciation to their hourly staff for jobs well done in 2015.

OVERLAND PARK, KS – Residents from Tallgrass Creek retirement community’s Water Aerobics Group December 11 jumped into a 50-Foot-long, 4-feet-deep pool and raced more131 rubber ducks sponsored by staff and residents to raise money for charity.

The swimmers raised $705 for Tallgrass Creek’s Benevolent Care Fund, which helps residents who experience an unforeseen change in their financial situation for reasons beyond their control.
