May 4 Concert at Tallgrass Creek Will Dedicate a $65,000 Home Organ Donated to Residents by Schmitt Music Company
OVERLAND PARK, KS (May 3, 2012) - A Friday, May 4, concert at Tallgrass Creek retirement community in Overland Park will dedicate a $65,000 Home Organ donated to residents by Schmitt Music Company. The concert will feature an array of standard songs that are favorites of residents.
The Home Organ is coming to Tallgrass Creek as a result of a Schmitt Music Company official's inquiry on behalf of the estate of a music enthusiast. The estate wanted the Home Organ to go to a place where it would be appreciated and where others could enjoy hearing and playing it as much as the estate's loved one had done
The Home Organ will be used in a variety of ways at Tallgrass Creek.  It will provide entertainment in the Bistro during happy hours and at small parties, as well as at the monthly Birthday Party for residents.
The Schmitt Music Company's goal is not only to provide the very best in musical instruments and accessories, but to also raise public awareness of the endless benefits of making music.
"There is nothing greater than learning to play your own music," said Ryan Gulbranson, the Division Manager for Schmitt Music Home Organ.   "I have yet to come across a person who has the interest in learning to play, or who wants to get back into playing, that we have not been able to teach."
