OVERLAND PARK, KS (December 23, 2014) – Tallgrass Creek retirement community's occupancy at yearend 2014 is 10 percent above the national industry average. In addition, 130 households are now on the Priority List for future move-ins.
Tallgrass Creek currently has 330 residents who moved to the community from Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Texas, Florida, New York and North Carolina.
Tallgrass Creek expanded its campus in 2014 with the addition of a new residence building. Meadowlark Terrace, with 87 apartment homes, is currently 90 percent reserved and occupied.
This expansion follows last year's opening of a 104-apartment Continuing Care neighborhood at Tallgrass Creek. It brings a new Erickson Living Person-Centered Care approach that is said to be unique to the Kansas City market.
Refundable entrance deposits at Tallgrass Creek range from $127,000-$488,000. Monthly fees range from $1,749-$3,150.
Tallgrass Creek is managed by Erickson Living.
