TINTON FALLS, NJ The Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross will present Seabrook Associate Executive Director Rick Kiernan with the Corporate Clara Barton Humanitarian Award at its 26th Annual Charity Ball Saturday, March 7. Kiernan is receiving this prestigious award for leading the ongoing partnership between Seabrook and the Red Cross. ' Some of the efforts that Seabrook is involved in with the organization include a variety of resident volunteer efforts, hosting first aid and CPR classes for Seabrook residents and staff members, and holding community blood drives. Members of Seabrook s emergency medical technician (EMT) team also have been trained in first aid and CPR. Seabrook has been affiliated with the Red Cross for three years. We are extremely proud of Rick for helping to lead the charge and for being named the recipient of this impressive award, said Seabrook Executive Director Art Sparks. Seabrook constantly strives to support the community in as many ways as possible. We have residents who volunteer their time, and our very own community is involved in a whole host of other programs that make a difference in the lives of so many. Kiernan, who also serves on the executive committee of the Jersey Coast Chapter, said, The partnership between Seabrook and the Red Cross is a shining example of just how successful a joint venture can be when two groups come together to accomplish a common goal. For me it is truly exciting to be a member of the executive committee because I get the opportunity to work with a storied organization that roots itself in the art of service.
