House sells in eight days

Patricia Pyle moved to Maris Grove in May 2009. The upkeep of her bi-level house, the property, and its gardens of perennials, lilies, roses, and hyacinths started to wear her down. Being a nurse, she knew she had to make a change to remain at her best. So she decided to get on the waiting list to move to Maris Grove. Once informed that the apartment home she preferred was available, she started the process of selling her house. Pyle decided to take advantage of Erickson Realty & Moving Services. She was teamed with Personal Moving Consultant Suzanne McAllister of Maris Grove, a real estate professional from Prudential, and various workers who helped her paint, remove carpeting, stage the house, and pack her belongings. Everyone was so thorough and kept me informed during the entire process. I knew that I made the right choice, Pyle says. McAllister made suggestions like removing the carpet to expose the wood floors, and Pyle listened. I wanted to leave the carpet, but Suzy said people want hardwood floors, so we ripped up the carpet in the dining room, living room area, and the hall, Pyle says. She also tucked away her personal items because McAllister said nothing should distract buyers from being able to see themselves in the house. I believe everything we did really increased the marketability of the house, Pyle says. Thirty people viewed the house during one weekend of showing. Three people made offers, and Pyle accepted one that was approximately $3,000 over the asking price! When all was said and done, the house sold within ten days. I couldn t have done it without them. The entire Erickson Realty & Moving Services [team] made it so simple, Pyle says. Now able to relax living at Maris Grove, she has become stronger and healthier by not having to do all the work of maintaining a house. This was the best decision I could have made, she says. I m so happy!
