Michael and Palma Pollio thought about moving to Seabrook for years. But rumors of a tough real estate market kept them on the sidelines. We have friends who have lived there for over five years and love it, but we just weren t sure, Mr. Pollio explains. We heard all the dire news out there, about the grim real estate market, but we liked the community so much and had also heard that Erickson helps you move. So we figured we d give it a try. The Pollios say what happened next almost took their breath away. Less than a month after putting their house on the market, it sold without even the slightest hassle. The Pollios had a few good offers to choose from.

Ask and you shall receive

Mr. Pollio says, When we first went in to look [at Seabrook], I told the sales department, I m interested, but I m really not moving in until I sell my other home first. So the Pollios sat down with the Seabrook moving professionals and discussed a plan of action. The couple picked an agent from a list of recommended real estate professionals. By doing so, the couple was assured they were getting a great agent on their side and also became eligible for a partial refund of their moving expenses from Seabrook. Soon after, the Pollios listed their Toms River condominium and their agent did all of the marketing and scheduling of tours. Our agent was so professional, Mrs. Pollio says. Everything we did, anything we asked, we were given quick responses. And because we used a recommended agent, it was also nice to get some of those moving expenses covered too.

Quick turnaround

To their credit, their home was in great shape, Seabrook Sales Director Madeline Hogan says of the Pollios. They didn t have to do anything to get it move-in ready. Michael Pollio explains, There wasn t a lot we had to do to our house. We were fortunate because my wife did a great job in preparing our home it was spic n span and had new rugs put in less than a year ago. This was a fast sale but certainly not out of the ordinary, Hogan adds. I think the real estate market is much better than people think. No matter the season, people are selling their homes each and every day. When you hear all of that bad news, you just don t expect to sell your home that quickly, Mr. Pollio says. I think it really was all the wonderful help we received from the Seabrook staff.
