Maris Grove grows

Delaware County community adds more residences, floor plans

Created date

November 22nd, 2011

Due to overwhelming demand for the Erickson Living lifestyle among the rolling hills of Delaware County, Maris Grove has started construction on Eagle Pointe, the final residence building in the community s second neighborhood. Maris Grove is more than 96% sold out, and 700 people have joined its priority list. The $1,000 deposit to join gives you the right of first refusal on an available apartment home based on your joining date. The deposit is fully refundable and is applied to the cost of the apartment home.

Designed for today

Eagle Pointe will offer 75 apartment homes, a mix of the community s most popular floor plans plus eight new designs. All 15 floor plans feature more open space with granite countertops, upgraded flooring and lighting, and modern appliances. We talked with our current residents, priority list members, and Delaware County residents to learn what people wanted in their next home, says Marketing Director Kathy McCrossin. The new floor plans and improvements to existing styles are a result of what they told us. To create more light-filled homes, Eagle Pointe s dens have windows, and its kitchens open onto the other living areas. Because more people are bringing their computers to Maris Grove, and those who are still employed desire a home office, Eagle Pointe s second bedrooms and dens are designed to serve office needs yet comfortably accommodate overnight guests. And, says McCrossin, because we understand people need to downsize but want larger living spaces to retreat to, some apartments even include family rooms. Eagle Pointe won t open until 2012, but construction has prompted lots of interest within Delaware County. People are joining the priority list earlier and meeting with Sales Counselor Kimberly Janson to select their homes, McCrossin says. Last month, when she started taking reservations for specific apartments, a number of folks reserved the home they wanted right away. Eagle Pointe is already more than 50% sold out.

Meeting every need

Mike Hardy, who lives at the community, says, You know the most interesting thing about Maris Grove? When a friend asked me to level with him about the downsides of living here, I couldn t think of any. And other residents say it s the same with them. All our possible needs are anticipated and provided for. People who live at Maris Grove enjoy every benefit of the Erickson Living lifestyle, from scenic views of the community s 87 rolling acres to more than 175 clubs and activities. The Cardinal Clubhouse boasts two restaurants, a performing arts center, chapel, creative arts studio, salon/spa, and in-house TV station. Brinton Clubhouse houses a third restaurant, salon, and arts studio, plus the campus medical center, swimming pool, fitness center, market, pharmacy, and bank. Residents have weatherproof access to any campus destination via a convenient campus shuttle or glass-enclosed walkways that connect every building. For an inside look at the spacious living offered in Eagle Pointe, you re invited to schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-520-2916. During your visit, you ll be able to enjoy a specially created virtual tour and visualize how your furniture fits in the new floor plans. You can also see first-hand the joy and energy that radiates every day from Maris Grove s 1,300 residents. New residents will only add to the life of this community, says Executive Director Maureen Heckler. Sol Mayer agrees. He s lived at Maris Grove since it opened five years ago. The strength of this place is not the bricks and mortar, he says. It s the people.
