Lynda Bennett is no stranger to moving. Her late husband s career as a mapmaker required the couple to move nearly every six months for many years. Lynda made her most recent move last November and this time she had a team of professionals to help her. Lynda moved from a condo in the Leawood/Overland Park area to Creek, an Erickson Living community in Overland Park. As a prospective Tallgrass Creek resident, she was able to take advantage of Realty and Moving Services, a complimentary program through which new community members can access a suite of services and trusted professionals from real estate referrals and moving company recommendations to help with floor planning and interior decorating. Tallgrass Creek Personal Moving Consultant Judy Baxter referred Lynda to Corrine Fleming, a seasoned real estate agent who has successfully helped many other residents sell houses. [Corrine] did a wonderful job, Lynda says. She came in, looked at my place, and made some recommendations on how to stage it. I did everything she told me to do.

Smart sale

Corrine s experience paid off: Lynda s condo sold in just five months. When moving day arrived, Lynda was in good hands. Judy had referred her to Shawn Cross, a reputable moving company that handles many residents moves to Tallgrass Creek. Lynda didn t even have to worry about the cost of her move because she received a moving expense credit through Erickson Realty and Moving Services. What s more, she also received a credit to make custom upgrades to her, one-and-a-half-bath apartment homeat Tallgrass Creek. Lynda says she wanted her new space to be colorful, so she used her credit to have her new home painted. Her favorite feature, she says, is the view from her living room windows. I am a small town girl and when I walked in this apartment and looked at that view, with the prairie grass, trees, and creek, I knew it was the one.
