Riderwood, the Erickson Living community in Silver Spring, Md., has recently announced a new addition to its family: Jean Landreville, associate executive director. For the last six years, Landreville has served as administrator for the continuing care neighborhood at Fox Run, an Erickson Living community in Novi, Mich. She s excited to start this new adventure in her life serving the Riderwood community. When she first discovered Erickson Living, Landreville noted the quality and continuum of services its communities offer. Her former position and this new one differ in scope and focus. As the administrator for Fox Run s continuing care neighborhood, her duties focused on the health care services offered on campus. Now, she focuses on the broader scope of community life and all the different services provided to the people who live there. I look at this role as being a key resource for the community, Landreville says. Landreville most enjoys working with community members and really getting to know them and their stories. They have a passion to continue growing, learning, and developing, Landreville says. In a way, that echoes her own life. Though Landreville has an undergraduate degree in dietetics from Madonna University in Livonia, Mich., she continues to develop her professional growth by pursuing a graduate degree in the management of aging services program from the Erickson School at the University of Maryland. And she s not stopping there. Aside from becoming executive director one day, Landreville hopes to perfect her grandmother s homemade apple pie crust. After all, a warm slice of Grandma s pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream can surely add quality years to life!
