A must-attend event

Sheila and Gilbert Newman, who moved to Ann s Choice six months ago, attended last year s event as priority list members. Sheila used some of the vendors she talked with, notably a moving company and a nonprofit, charity-based thrift store organization. So many of the vendors were important to me, and I didn t even realize it [until the event], she says. I talked with a real estate agent who later came to our house and presented us a fabulous prospectus with all the comparable sales in our neigborhood. Priority list members regularly receive invitations to exclusive Ann s Choice events. We attended as often as we could because they had apartment tours, Sheila says. I wanted to be sure I d reserve what I d be comfortable in. Besides a delicious meal, those events always included a move-related presentation by someone from the community s sales department or by a preferred vendor; one time it was an auctioneer. Sales staff consistently returned Sheila s phone calls and continually provided helpful information so that by the time the Newmans moved in, We felt like we belonged, Sheila says. Colleen was really lovely, she adds. We went everywhere before we chose Ann s Choice, and I don t know that any of those other communities had someone like her to help people. She takes a real interest in you and wants you to be happy when you move in.
