Functional floor plans

Whatever the need, Eagle’s Trace has a layout that fits

When it comes to apartment living, one size doesn t fit all. That s why Eagle s Trace, an Erickson Living community in West Houston, offers 47 different floor plans. We recognize the need for options, says Sales Director Pam Burgeson. Each prospective resident who visits the sales office has priorities. It s our job to find the floor plan that matches those priorities. Ben Johnson s

Layout fit like a glove

That s true for Ben Johnson, who works out regularly in the community s on-site fitness center and hones his woodworking skills in the woodshop. Ben moved to Eagle s Trace from the Lake Conroe area in June 2011. He looked at a number of floor plans before deciding on a two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath, Hastings-style apartment home. I think I wore out the sales team looking at apartments, says Ben. But this one fit like a glove. Ben s apartment affords a view of the lake from the living room, master bedroom, and the second bedroom, which Ben converted into a home office. I m very comfortable here, he says. It s convenient to have the amenities I enjoy so close at hand. Betty Finkelman s

Peaceful retreat

Betty Finkelman enjoys the quiet in her apartment home at Eagle s Trace. After she sold her family home to her daughter and son-in-law, Betty moved to a patio home in central Houston. I heard every noise imaginable car alarms, sirens, you name it, says Betty. When I moved to Eagle s Trace, I wanted a peaceful space. Betty found her oasis in a large one-bedroom, one bath, Fremont-style apartment home overlooking the lake. I walked in and fell in love with the natural light streaming into the apartment, says Betty, a retired nurse. My orchids thrive by the living room window. It s like having my own little garden in my apartment. Betty also appreciates the generously sized bedroom, where she set up a sewing niche along one wall. I m a quilter, so I needed room to sew and keep my supplies, she says. And I like to entertain, so the big kitchen appealed to me. Betty says she can seat 12 comfortably, and her apartment can accommodate even more people at casual come-and-go parties. August and ' Mary Look s

Must-have patio

For August and Mary Look, who moved to the community from Rockport in March 2009, an apartment with a patio was a must. We wanted space for our dog Liesel to play outside, says Mary. When we saw this ground-floor corner apartment with a patio, we knew it was the right one for us. The couple chose a two-bedroom, one-bath, Harrison-style floor plan. Liesel is right at home in the apartment and on the patio, where neighbors and their dogs frequently stop to visit and play. Eagle s Trace is a village, says Mary. We realized in no time that we didn t need all the rooms we had in our house because the clubhouse and its amenities act as an extension of our living space.
