Elvis impersonator Vince King is a regular guest at Eagle s Trace, where he entertains residents with favorites like All Shook Up, Love Me Tender, and Jailhouse Rock. I start my performances with music from the 50s, then move on to music from the movie years and the 1968 comeback special, and finish with the Las Vegas years of the 70s, says King. It seems like everyone has their favorite era. Elvis is a big hit at Eagle s Trace, says Bonnie Neal, catering director at the West Houston Erickson Living community. We always have a good turnout whenever he comes to sing. Part of the show s appeal lies in Elvis signature moves and audience interaction. King is quick to strike a classic Elvis pose or hand out teddy bears to women in the audience. It s nice to see the smiles on their faces, says King. I can tell these songs take them back to another time and place. Eagle s Trace resident Nina Kimbell says her favorite Elvis song is Blue Suede Shoes. I was in high school when Elvis was popular, she says. His music is so much fun to listen to.
