Marie Dmoch, sales counselor at Ann s Choice, Erickson Living s community in Bucks County, Pa., has advised people about the community for nearly 12 years. And she continues to receive the highest compliment she can imagine. As Dmoch leads visitors on campus tours, residents often stop those folks and say, Listen to Marie. She ll tell you the truth. What Dmoch wants to tell people now is that Ann s Choice is 98.3% sold out. With such limited inventory, the only way to secure that perfect home and move in a timely manner is to join the community s esteemed priority list. Q: Why should people join the priority list? A: By joining the list, you re establishing your place in line for an available apartment home. No one can predict which or how many apartments will become available next. But when one does, we start calling members of the priority list, based on their home preferences and by earliest date, first. As we move down the list, whichever member wants that apartment and is ready to move will get it. If you re not on the list, you ll never receive a call. Joining the list is risk-free: the $1,000 deposit is applied to your entrance deposit when you reserve your home or is completely refundable if you change your mind. Q: Are there other advantages to joining the priority list? A: List membership provides access to complimentary services from Colleen Rosica, our personal moving consultant. Rosica maintains a valuable downsizing resource book, listing names of reputable vendors who meet our standards and are experienced in every aspect of selling and moving, from real estate agents and packers and movers to painters, floor refinishers, and auctioneers. We also host a variety of special events just for priority list members. We recently hosted a seminar about our on-site, full-service medical center and pharmacy. We ve also focused on staging and downsizing. Our special events often feature creative, savory cuisine from the chefs in our dining services department and include tours of sample homes from our mix of 30 different floor plans. Members say that each time they visit they become more comfortable on campus, meet future neighbors, and make lasting friendships. They especially like meeting our resident ambassadors, who give realistic descriptions of what life here is like.

Spring sales

It s spring, the official start of house-selling season. And according to Colleen Rosica, personal moving consultant at Ann s Choice, sales should be brisk this year. Not only is the local market definitely improving, limited inventory has made it a sellers market. Colleen says that people who ve used a real estate agent from her network of trusted downsizing, moving, and real estate professionals have sold their house one-third faster than those who haven t. Access to and coordination with her network is one of the complimentary services she provides to the community s priority list members. She s also a certified stager and excels at turning a seemingly overwhelming process into one simple move.
