Virginia couple moves quickly thanks to personal moving consultant

Encouraged by friends who live at Greenspring, an Erickson Living community in Springfield, Va., Reverend Frederick and Virginia Wandall decided to sell their house and join them. We have quite a few friends from church who recommended Greenspring highly, says Frederick. We looked at other places, but in comparison to Greenspring, they seemed incomplete. Our children no longer lived at home and the house was becoming difficult to care for. So, we decided to make our move. It was then that the Wandalls met Greenspring s personal moving consultant, Anna Greves.

Best interests at heart

I don t think we could have moved without her help, says Frederick. She helped us enormously. It was immediately clear that she knew what she was doing and that she had our best interests at heart. Greves first visited the couple in the home they had lived in since 1976. She put us in touch with a wonderful real estate agent and made suggestions on things we could do to help sell our house quickly, says Frederick. Anna suggested that we put some of our furniture in storage to help stage the house. She also encouraged us to repaint the interior. Luckily, we did not have to make any major changes. The best part was that Anna oversaw all the work, he adds. She negotiated a reasonable price from the painter. When the painter offered to sand our floors, Anna stepped in and told us that the work was unnecessary. And she was right. After the painting was complete, our house sold in a week. Greves also coordinated packers and movers, who seamlessly moved the couple into their new Greenspring home just days before Christmas. I am very happy that we moved to Greenspring when we did, says Frederick. Everything we need is here. There is so much to do and the people are wonderful. Anna put us in touch with all the right people. I am so grateful for her help.
