Where is god?

Living faith: Where is God? May 2013 issue

Always present Speaking from my own experience, when we are in trouble or have trouble, God is always there. Evil is in this world due to the fall of man what makes it bearable is knowing God is here too and that he suffered and died on a cross for no crime. If he suffered, who are we not to suffer? I remember a passage from Job 14:14 which encourages me: If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my struggle I will wait until my change comes!

Faith and gratitude You wrote, Suffering is the pathway to deeper intimacy with God and understanding of life. I agree. I give God the glory for my healing and making me into a person who is strong and courageous. I can handle any circumstance that unfolds before me because I have God in my life. God was my anchor throughout the chaos and storms of life. I cannot imagine how people do life without God. I recently met a man who, at 30, had a heart transplant, and, at 32, he is thriving. Then I heard about a friend of mine whose husband had undergone his second liver transplant within a year. These people are my heroes. They live life day by day because they do not know if tomorrow will come. These people are grateful for each and every breath they take. This is what life should be about. Living each day as if it were our last.

Simple faith In times of suffering, I have learned to say, God, I don t understand but I love you. I will cling to you no matter what. It doesn t take suffering away but allows me to get through it.
