Reesa Bowes was first introduced to Greenspring, an Erickson Living community in Springfield, Va., while looking for a retirement community for her father. I thought, Wow! We should live here, she says. The only problem was that I was still in my 50s. My husband Ron and I joined the priority list, waiting six years until I met the age requirement to move in. Earlier this year, Reesa celebrated her 62nd birthday, and the couple immediately began planning for their move to Greenspring.

Fast sale, smooth move

It was at that time that we met Personal Moving Consultant Anna Greves, says Reesa. She was terrific. She came out to our house and clearly explained all that was involved in our move. She put us in touch with a phenomenal real estate agent and a moving company. She was on top of every detail, ensuring that our move went smoothly. Thanks to the expert help, the Bowes Fairfax, Va., house of 25 years sold in less than five days. Our real estate agent did a wonderful job, says Reesa. I understand now why Anna recommended her so highly. Her attention to detail and diligence, I believe, helped us sell our house quickly and for the amount we wanted. With the sale in order, the movers Greves recommended began wrapping all of the couples items. All of our belongings arrived at Greenspring just as they had left our previous home, says Reesa.

Home sweet home

On June 10, 2013, Ron, Reesa, and their dog Tucker became official members of theGreenspringcommunity. We are so happy, says Reesa. Everyone is so friendly and inviting. We ve met many of our neighbors at the Greenspring dog park. And we enjoy the invitations we receive to dinners and brunch. My advice to anyone is to move sooner rather than later, she adds. We moved as soon as we were able. There is so much to do, and we are eager to get out and explore our community.
