Exclusive event gives an insider’s look at Riderwood

Created date

October 22nd, 2013

In September, about 50 local retirees seized an opportunity to visit Riderwood for the first time. The Erickson Living community in Silver Spring, Md., welcomed them to campus as part of a special invitation-only event. The visitors were treated to an informative and action-packed afternoon in which they learned more about the worry-free retirement lifestyle Riderwood offers. The day kicked off with a tour of the campus, with the final stop being at the Celebrations Catering Room. There, the special guests enjoyed lunch with current residents, giving the visitors a chance to get the inside scoop on what it s like to live at Riderwood. After lunch, residents Paul and Natalie Forbes, Bill and Marion Muldoon, and Terrie Elliott convened for a resident panel. They each shared a story about their own experiences at Riderwood and then opened up the discussion for visitors to ask candid questions. Kevin Patterson, a member of Riderwood's sales team, says several of the attendees were intrigued by what they heard throughout the afternoon and opted to take a closer look at the campus by touring different apartment home models.
