Construction is now complete on Ponds’ new continuing care neighborhood. As finishing touches are made and staff completes training, excitement continues to build for the grand opening this spring.

“Many of the new staff members joined our community last month,” says Amy Grossman, Ashby Ponds’ director of continuing care. “We are all eagerly waiting the opening and the opportunity to provide our residents with the very best care available.”

Once open, the continuing care neighborhood will provide 132 residences offering assisted living, memory care, post-acute rehabilitation, and nursing care services. Ashby Ponds is the first community in Loudoun County, Va., to offer all of these services at one site.

“The addition of [the continuing care neighborhood] is a great benefit to Ashby Ponds,” says community member Joan Foote. “None of us know when or if we may need these services. Having a facility on campus that offers a full continuum of care beats having to go elsewhere for health care. It will be a significant advantage to the residents, not to mention the family members and visitors who may also reside at Ashby Ponds.”
