On schedule and in demand

Ashby Ponds priority list members reserve new homes at record pace

With more than five months until Ponds’ newest residence building opens, demand for the Erickson Living lifestyle in Loudoun County, Va., has already reached a fever pitch.

“Willow Crossing is now sold out,” says Ashby Ponds Director of Sales Holly Henderson. “This response came rapidly, in mere weeks, exclusively from our priority list.”

Members of the Ashby Ponds priority list receive advance notice of new construction prior to any announcements made to the general public.

Business as usual

This is not the first time that demand for the Erickson Living lifestyle at Ashby Ponds elicited a strong response. In 2011, after the announcement of the addition of Red Robin View, the priority list reacted quickly. In less than two months, the building was almost completely sold out.

This reaction comes as no surprise to the people already living at Ashby Ponds.

“Ashby Ponds should get an award,” says community member Sue Vitale. “Not only do my husband and I enjoy the amazing services, but the staff seem perfectly matched with the people who live here.”

“The list of why I love living at Ashby Ponds is long,” says Nancy Eisenbise. “We enjoy underground parking, 24-hour security, emergency and medical help available 24/7, knowing exactly what our expenses are without having to worry about what’s down the road in home upkeep (like a new water heater, plumbing problems, leaks), access to a vast array of social and physical activities—all under one roof. And the biggest plus is living in a community with people from such a wide variety of life experiences. It makes life interesting and stimulating.”

Taking requests

Willow Crossing offers eight new floor plan designs, all the result of market demand.

“For the first time at Ashby Ponds, Willow Crossing will offer the Windsor floor plan with a sought-after fireplace,” says Henderson.

Three of the apartment floor plans—the Riesling, the Stratford, and the Walton—boast utility rooms in addition to large walk-in closets. These designs meet the market demand for more storage space for clothes, suitcases, holiday decorations, and golf clubs.

“We’ve also taken note of what our community members like best about their current apartment homes,” says Henderson. “As a result, Willow Crossing will feature numerous apartment designs with large bay windows, sunrooms, and porches.”

“Our porch is one of the features we like best about our apartment home,” says Kathleen Russell who, along with her husband Wallace, was one of the first people to move into Red Robin View in April 2012. “Red Robin is beautiful; we are so happy here.”

Space for everyone

In addition to the beautiful apartment homes, Willow Crossing will offer a new community restaurant offering both cooked-to-order selections prepared from a fixed seasonal menu and a variety of chef specials. Guests will also enjoy the opportunity to dine inside the restaurant, on the patio, or at the bar/lounge area. Private dining rooms will also be available.

“Willow Crossing will also provide space for a theater and a fitness room to complement our existing fitness center in the Cardinal Clubhouse,” says Henderson. “These are amenities our current community members requested, and we are happy to provide them when Willow Crossing opens in June.”

“I would tell anyone considering a move to Ashby Ponds to take advantage of the new homes available at Willow Crossing,” says community member Kay O’Brien. “I moved from Florida and could not be happier with the friends I have made and the great many things there are to do. At Ashby Ponds, your days will be very full.”
