Valentine’s Day is always especially sweet for the retirees who live at Run, an Erickson Living community in Novi, Mich. Every year, the dining services team treats residents to a very special chocolate-themed dinner and dessert buffet.

Director of Dining Services Kevin Cunningham admits to having a serious sweet tooth, and he enjoys sharing his love of chocolate with his Fox Run family. The annual “History of Chocolate” event took place the evening of February 14 in Fox Run’s Fireside and Signatures Restaurants.

Residents, as well as visiting friends and family members, feasted on beef tenderloin rubbed with cocoa nib, cinnamon, and spices. After dinner, they indulged in a decadent buffet filled with delicacies like truffles, chocolate bread pudding, white chocolate cheesecake, cream puffs with vanilla ice cream and chocolate ganache, and chocolate-dipped strawberries in vodka.
