Older adults are especially vulnerable to heat-related illnesses (collectively known as hyperthermia), and research shows that heat waves kill more people than any other weather-related events. But there doesn’t have to be a heat wave occurring for you to develop hyperthermia, especially if you like to be active outside in the summer.
