You’ll likely find answers to whatever questions you have about Grove,Erickson Living’s retirement community in Delaware County, Pa., in a comprehensive brochure that’s yours for the asking.

The 45-page encyclopedia about the community is a wonderful introduction to Maris Grove and an ideal way to prepare for a campus visit. Plus, it’s chock-full of details on topics that range from the community’s impressive on-site amenities and extensive activities to specific financial information and floor plans of various apartment styles.

The effort entailed a yearlong collaboration among staff in Erickson Living’s corporate sales and marketing department as well as sales directors, sales counselors, and personal moving consultants from each of its communities.

Potential residents also gave their input.

“We didn’t hold anything back,” says Erickson Living Copy Director Karen Walls. “We wanted the guide to answer the questions of potential residents and their adult children. We wanted them to be as well informed as possible so the decision they make is truly the right one for them.”

Each Erickson Living community has its own customized brochure. They’re reader-friendly so people can skim them for highlights or peruse them cover-to-cover.

They even feature QR codes to scan with a smartphone or tablet and hear testimonials from real people who live the Erickson Living lifestyle.

Stamp of approval

Three of Maris Grove’s ambassadors, residents who greet and answer questions from visitors at the community’s marketing luncheons, give Maris Grove’s brochure an enthusiastic thumbs-up.

The wealth of color photos of actual residents involved in a variety of activities do indeed showcase the friendliness that thrives at Maris Grove, says Lois Stimeare.

“And the photos of food are real; it does taste as good as it looks,” she says.

Her husband Bob is impressed that the brochure provides financial information to people who’ve never set foot at Maris Grove.

“A lot of places won’t quote the price unless you visit, or they won’t quote prices over the phone,” he says. “It’s great that the brochure includes a cost insert.”

Ambassador Pat Borjes concurs: “Financial information can be hard to come by, but here we have nothing to hide.”

Pat makes a point of telling visitors about one of Maris Grove’s peace-of-mind amenities: its on-site, fully staffed medical center. Many people aren’t aware of it. The brochure highlights the medical center, too. And it includes mini-bios of the medical staff who provide care only to Maris Grove residents.

In fact, the brochure covers everything except details about how pet-friendly the community is, Pat says. Even so, “I’m very impressed.”

Maris Grove Sales Director Kathy McCrossin interacts all the time with people who want to know more about the community.

“Maris Grove is special,” she says, “and the photos in the brochure capture the spirit and lifestyle of our residents.”

But to see that spirit firsthand, people must pay a visit. “I encourage people to come see Maris Grove for themselves,” McCrossin says.
