Ruth and Alan Clarin are proof positive that the real estate market has turned. Their two-bedroom Wanaque, N.J., condo sold in just two days.

“It was such a relief,” Alan says.

The couple opted for more peace of mind and activity than the 55-plus community of Wanaque Reserves could provide. They chose a one-bedroom apartment home with a den at Seabrook, an Erickson-Living community in Tinton Falls. And with the help of Erickson Realty and Moving Services, they moved quickly and easily.

Personal Moving Consultant Laurie Williamson helped the couple choose a real estate agent—one from her list of preferred moving vendors. In return, they received $2,000 back on their moving expenses.

Getting the best

“There are so many benefits to utilizing the complimentary Erickson Realty and Moving Services program,” Williamson says. “Not only do we take the burden of moving and downsizing off your shoulders, you actually save money when you use one of our recommended real estate agents.”

Williamson also recommended a moving company that helped the Clarins plan their move, pack, and unpack at their new home. Though they downsized from two bedrooms to one with Williamson’s help, they brought much of their furniture with them.

“We got rid of a lot, but we’ve had the furniture for a long time,” Alan says. The one with the decorator’s eye and an engineer’s brain, he planned the furniture layout on his own, but that’s another service Williamson provides to those who need it.

Williamson and Sales Counselor Susan Coulson also helped the couple customize their new home. They changed carpet to hardwood floors throughout and upgraded to stainless steel appliances.

“We work with every new resident to not only make their move go smoothly but to settle into their apartment home and make it exactly how they want it,” Coulson says.

“Susan and Laurie were wonderful,” Alan adds. “They helped us make the apartment [into a] home.”
