If you’re thinking about visiting Lantern Hill, the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) slated to open in New Providence, N.J., next fall, you’ll have a chance to meet Peggy Ferro and Jose Gomez.

As one of three sales associates, Ferro assists with outreach and education about the new community. “I meet with people interested in Lantern Hill and educate them about the lifestyle and the benefits of a CCRC,” she says.

But most importantly, she builds relationships with and among those interested in life at the community.

Ferro puts a background of sales and marketing, real estate, and local living to use in her position. She knows the benefits of the surrounding area and the need for a community like Lantern Hill. “I know what we’re building is filling an unmet need, and our sales team is exceptional in receiving everyone in a way that is memorable to them.”  

You might see Ferro and her colleague Executive Director Patricia Swan at local events. They attend gatherings to interact with and educate area residents about Lantern Hill. You’ll also meet them at the stunning new sales center, which has a representative model of a Lantern Hill apartment home’s open-space kitchen concept. 

Jose Gomez

Gomez’s friendly demeanor translates into the events he plans for people interested in learning more about Lantern Hill. 

Having been in the hospitality industry for over a decade, he knows a thing or two about throwing a good party. “I love people, and I love food,” he says.

Gomez works with a catering vendor and local venues to coordinate events like the priority list cocktail receptions held in July and August at Fairmount Country Club. 

“We put a lot of consideration into the time and location of our events. Our prospects have a lot going on—they are very active people—so their time is limited,” Gomez says.
