There’s never been a better time to enjoy the vibrant, maintenance-free lifestyle at Springs in North Dallas. The Erickson Living community plans to open its newest residence building, Willow Ridge, this year.

Sales Counselor Christina Christie recently sat down with the Tribune to share tips for securing the most desirable apartments and the easiest way to experience all that Highland Springs has to offer.

Q. Why is the Erickson Living lifestyle so appealing?

Christie: In a word, it simplifies life. For many seniors, the chores associated with owning a home become increasingly burdensome. When something big needs repair, like the roof or an air-conditioning unit, it can feel overwhelming. Turning those responsibilities loose frees up our residents to focus on the activities they enjoy.

Q. What about the financial implications of moving to Highland Springs?

Christie: Many of our residents are surprised to find their monthly expenses are actually less than when they lived in their previous homes. Our monthly service package includes all utilities (except telephone), flexible dining plans, and maintenance. It keeps expenses predictable and eliminates the stress of having to budget for annual bills like property taxes and homeowner’s association dues.

Q. Willow Ridge, the newest residence building, will feature 99 apartment homes when it opens this year. What can you tell us about the inventory you have available?

Christie: Willow Ridge is nearly 80% reserved. We still have a few two-bedroom, two-bath luxury apartments available. Our existing residence buildings are 99% sold out. The best way for prospective residents to secure their preferred apartment style is to join the priority list. Priority list members put down a $1,000 fully refundable deposit to reserve their place in line for the apartment home of their choice.

Q. Are there other benefits to joining the priority list?

Christie: Absolutely! Our priority list members receive invitations to exclusive events at Highland Springs, they are the first to learn about special incentives and new construction, and they have access to our on-site medical center. Priority list members can also take advantage of our Live the Life program, which lets them experience life at the community before they move in.

Q. Tell us more about the Live the Life program.

Christie: When prospective residents join the priority list, we send them an all-access pass to stay in one of our guest suites, dine in our restaurants, get pampered at our day spa, participate in clubs and activities, and get to know other residents. There’s no better way to meet people and get a feel for what the Erickson Living lifestyle is really like.

Q. What is the next step for someone who’s interested in moving to Highland Springs?

Christie: I encourage anyone who’s interested in Highland Springs to join the priority list. Even for those who aren’t ready to move, it keeps their options open. For those who are interested in Willow Ridge, I’ll be happy to go over available floor plans. It’s a great time to lock in current pricing.
