Summer heats up with exciting events

This summer is a great time to be on the priority list at WindCrest, the Erickson Living community in Highlands Ranch, Colo. The community’s sales team has planned several exciting events exclusively for priority list members.

“The priority list allows people who want to move to Wind Crest to reserve an apartment home when they are ready, but membership has tons of other great benefits as well,” says Sales Director Jason Atwell.

The events highlight these additional priority list benefits all summer long. 

June: Guided bus tour

The events kicked off on June 27 with a guided bus tour of the Wind Crest campus. Priority list members boarded a luxury coach bus from which they watched and listened to Atwell’s entertaining and informative commentary.

They learned the history of the property, the backstory of building names, and locations of amenities like the indoor pool, restaurants, and gardens. 

The tour concluded in Wind Crest’s new neighborhood. There, priority list members enjoyed refreshments and toured apartment homes in two new residence buildings, McHenry’s Crossing and Parry Landing. 

They also had the opportunity to talk with residents, ask questions, and engage in what life is really like at Wind Crest. 

“This was a great way for our priority list members to easily see all of our beautiful campus and get a taste of the community—not to mention take in all of the stunning views from several vantage points,” Atwell says.

July: Meet the executive team

On July 15, priority list members will have a chance to ask in-depth questions about policies and procedures, dining, the medical center, resident life, and more. 

In a speed-dating format, members of Wind Crest’s executive team will move from table to table in the Fireside Restaurant. Priority list members can ask questions and talk face-to-face with the people who influence the inner workings of the community.

“Wind Crest’s executive team listens intently to our residents through the Resident Advisory Council, who act as liaisons for their neighbors. Everything we do here comes from resident feedback,” says Atwell.

Likewise, executive team member Executive Chef Marcus Cordova says, “It’s really important that we connect and partner with our residents.” 

Priority list members will get a taste of that commitment at the July event.

August: Experience Wind Crest

The most anticipated event of the summer takes place August 26 when priority list members will have the exclusive opportunity to truly experience life at Wind Crest.

“Every venue and amenity in McHenry’s Crossing and Parry Landing will have an activity,” says Events Coordinator Jenn Anderson. 

Get downsizing tips from Personal Moving Consultant Beth Brandenburg in a new classroom. Meet the Resident Advisory Council in the new conference room. Paint a picture in the new creative arts studio. Watch an informative video in the new Arts and Enrichment Center. Chat with resident ambassadors over coffee and a croissant in the new Blue Sky Bistro. 

“This event is all about making connections, talking with people, and actually experiencing everything Wind Crest has to offer,” Anderson says.

September: Downsizing and real estate seminar

Rounding out the summer events on September 23, Brandenburg will introduce and explain Erickson Realty and Moving Services, a program designed for priority list members that includes complimentary coordination of all realty and moving needs, including downsizing, home staging, packing, and selection of a real estate professional. 

“One of the biggest roadblocks to someone reserving an apartment home is the overwhelming task of downsizing,” Brandenburg says. “But it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. That’s why I’m here to help, and that’s what our September event is all about.”

Brandenburg will give downsizing tips like, “Start with the linen closet,” and other secrets to simple solutions. She’ll explain her services and how they can help priority list members move forward and reserve an apartment home by overcoming their hurdles. 

“If you’re ready to move but feel overwhelmed with the prospect of downsizing and packing, this is the event for you,” Brandenburg says.

Priority list membership

Events like these are some of the greatest benefits of priority list membership. 

“Now is such a great time to join the priority list because, with the exception of our opening in 2007, there has never been such a demand for the beautiful apartment homes at Wind Crest,” says Atwell. 

Not a priority list member yet? All it takes to join is a fully refundable $1,000 deposit and a $150 per-person nonrefundable application fee. 

When prospective residents submit their deposit, that date is noted as their priority date. As apartment homes become available, the sales team gives first right of refusal to priority list members based on the date they joined. 

Once they’ve joined the priority list, they can reserve a home when it’s their turn.

“More and more people are finding out why the lifestyle at Wind Crest is unparalleled. There simply isn’t another place that offers the services and amenities that people find here.
